Thanks to the keen culinary minds behind Julia's Empanadas, there's a new French fry to try on 18th Street. Actually, that's not even an accurate description. See, the new potatoes at Julias... aren't fried—they're oven-roasted. Which is hard to believe on first bite. See, these bad boys tasted as crispy as their deep-fried brethren, just without all the unnecessary grease. What's the secret? Well, owners Bill and Julia are staying mum on that, but they are saying their French fries are the best, both in taste and health-wise. While we also think they're good on their own, we don't mind if we do dress them up with a bit of house-made wasabi sauce or honey mustard. And of course, we liked 'em drizzled in ketchup, our old standby.
