You grew up eating your mom’s spaghetti and meatballs, only later realizing that the sauce came out of a can and the meatballs were frozen. The discovery, however, did nothing to damper your love affair for pizza and pasta. You continued to eat it, relying on the convenience and low price of frozen pizzas throughout your adolescence and early 20s. But now that you’re all grown up, you feel you’ve reached a point where you want to be exposed to the finer things in life. For that, my friend, you’ll need to visit Lo Zingaro, where you can get the best pizza and the best pasta in Toronto. Rooted in the strong Gypsy traditions of creating a traditional, entertaining and pleasurable food experience, Lo Zingaro is the perfect place to host a family dinner, business lunch or a special occasion. Each pizza is made from the finest ingredients and is served hot and fresh from the oven. They’ve got a wide variety of speciality pizzas to choose from, catering to meat lovers, vegetarians and even those with lactose intolerance. And don’t be shy – pair your pasta or pizza selection with a beer, wine or some tasty starters while you’re at it. Forget the frozen pizzas and canned pasta sauces. You haven’t tasted the best until you eat a slice at Lo Zingaro. “I recently stopped by Lo Zingaro to pick up a pizza to go, and all I have to say is that it was awesome! The staff was friendly and the ambience was great for quiet conversation. I look forward to going back and having a proper dine-in experience some time soon.”- Warner D.“I went to Lo Zingaro after a long day of work. The only expectation I had was to fill my stomach with carbs. But it turned out that this is an amazing place. The pasta I had was a perfectly cooked al dente with a superb texture and a bolognese sauce that was tasty, but not overwhelming.”- Taylor P.“I had a pizza here the other day and thought it was great. The servers are friendly too! Definitely going back to try the pasta.”- Elizabeth S.

Everyone who participates at The Mud Run wants to get to get muddy! We give them ‘permission to get dirty’, and they love it. We offer distances of 10K, 5K and 1.5K, which appeals to runners of all ages and abilities who are looking for a competitive, yet very fun trail run experience. They can run solo or as a team of three; and we have a large percentage of women and families with children, who participate every year. The Mud Run is located in very close proximity to downtown Toronto, and we take advantage of the natural terrain (hills, rivers, swamp etc), as well as some man-made obstacles to create challenges that you might not otherwise experience in a regular trail run….but we do not try to inflict punishment or pain as you tour the route. And of course we have the main attraction at the finishline - a mud pit that is 50-feet of the wettest, sloppiest, gooiest Canadian mud that you are ever likely to find. People come back year after year, just to get covered in mud at The Mud Run! “Generally 5K run is not that bad but turn it into a mud run with obstacle courses, takes double the time to finish haha.?  Obstacle courses are lined throughout the run and it definitely keeps the challenge alive! People do expect to get dirty so that in itself wasn't that big of a deal. ?It was very hot in 2012, but this 5K was a good way to start if I want to do more of these extreme runs in the future.  Learned a lot of tips and tricks! I can't wait for this year's mud run!”- Duke C.“This Mud Run was my first run ever. Pretty fun and I'm glad I survived. ?I should have "trained" harder for this but I'm a lazy person. We arrived 30 minutes to our start time and nearly missed it.? I had mud in places even my Brazilian wax lady has never been in; it's nature and I had fun. ?Little showers set up to rinse mud off and firemen hosing you down. The registration was quick and painless and the run itself was one of the most challenging things I have ever done, but also the most rewarding. My friends and I got to laugh about it all over a beer afterwards. We look foprward to this year's event to try and better our time!”- Susie J.“The mud race was AMAZING! I didn’t quite win but I had so much fun. There were so many obstacles that made it seriously challenging. I particularly loved the mud pit! This was some dirty competition!”- Isabel T.“This day was INTENSE!!!!!! The adrenaline was amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever been so dirty in my life. Great fun!”- Jessica L.“The Mud Run WAY MORE CHALLENGING than I anticipated and I loved it. It was way more than just a trail run with all of the obstacles—especially the wall-climbs. I ALMOST one and I’ll be back to finish my mission to win!"- John C.
