All the world is a stage, so let your little star take it this summer with today's deal from Ms. Kaye's Performing Arts Camp: Pay $19 for one day of camp (a $45 value). This Salt Lake Community College art camp treats kids ages 5 to 18 to a variety of fun classes that encourage creativity, self-confidence and peer cooperation. Choose from July 9 or 16, send your kid with a packed lunch, and let them loose in classes like hip hop, African dance, musical theater, arts and crafts, photography, creative dance, and ceramics. All classes are taught by industry professionals and all materials are always provided. Camp begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 1:50 p.m. for 5 to 7 year olds and at 3:40 p.m. for older kids, so say curtain up for summer fun.
When a dance studio is directed by someone who performs with the Ririe-Woodbury Nikolais Dance Theater, you know your kiddos will learn the proper technique -- and be in awe. With today's deal from Performing Dance Center in East Millcreek, pay $60 (regularly $145) for two months of weekly hour-long dance classes in beginning jazz (for ages 10 to 18); pre-ballet/tap II (for ages 5-6); hip-hop (for ages 13 to 18); or adult tap. If you have younger kiddos, pay $40 (regularly $95) for two months of weekly 30-minute dance classes in creative dance (for ages 2 to 3) or pre-jazz (for ages 5 to 6). Or, opt to pay $55 (regularly $115) for two months of weekly 45-minute dance classes in pre-ballet/tap (for ages 3 to 5); hip-hop (for ages 5 to 12); or tap (for ages 7 to 11 or 13 to 18). Classes are held Monday through Saturday, are taught by highly qualified teachers with degrees in dance or professional experience, and are kept small so each pupil gets personalized attention.
