Prolific composer and librettist Mark Adamo has authored three acclaimed full-length operas to date -- "Little Women", "Lysistrata, or The Nude Goddess" and 2013's "The Gospel of Mary Magdalene" -- as well as numerous symphonic and choral works. Highlighting the broad spectrum of Adamo's vocal compositions, this concert from Opera America features selections from "Mary Magdalene" and "Lysistrata", along with his song cycle "Aristotle". Mezzo-soprano Leah Wool, tenor William Ferguson and baritone Philip Cutlip are joined by a string quartet from the Juilliard School of Music for this delightful evening of music.
