Depending on where you look, this town has some pretty good options in the way of fresh seafood and raw bars. We're actually kind of surprised there isn't a "Raw Bar Row" somewhere yet. But look deep into the boroughs and the options do get a little limited. Luckily, we stumbled on Beebo's on 3rd Avenue. Named for the owner's nickname growing up, Beebo is an oasis of fresh fish, live lobsters and oysters that sated our appetites after a long day of biking through Brooklyn. The menu is a tour de force of gifts from the sea, all with a hint of Mediterranean flair. The signature dish, Salt Crusted Baked Bronzino, is about as simple and delicious as you can get, and the freshness of the lobster in the bisque nearly smacked us in the face. We tried Oysters Rockefeller for the first time and are kind of confused why it took us so long. Also, grilled octopus is now in our lexicon of dishes we love. The dining room is spacious and airy, complete with a relaxing, but upscale patio out back, that's perfect for a quick bite after work, or after a long commute (it's right next to the R train). Or a short commute. Which ever. We're suddenly always in the mood for a second helping of Oysters Rockefeller. Menu Highlights: Grilled Octopus, $13 Oysters Rockefeller, $15 Salt Crusted Branzino, $18/lb Seafood Paella, $25 Hours: Sunday - Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m. midnight
