We wouldn’t call it a chain, but this restaurant has proven so good, it’s spawned multiple locations, with one of our favorites being the Columbia Heights spot in the Tivoli Theatre. Not only is the décor palatial (seriously, who doesn’t want to eat one of the best burgers in DC in a palace-like setting?), but the food is worthy of royal praise, too. Really, if there’s a king of the quick meal in DC, Z-Burger’s wearing the crown. That’s ‘cause everything’s fresh and made-to-order, from the juicy burgers composed of a proprietary recipe of four different cuts of beef, to the cheesesteak sammies that come off the grill piping hot and melty, to the hand-cut fries and onion rings.
