Scout Notes: It's always nice when you find a little oasis from the rat race that is Manhattan. Imagine our surprise, and excitement, when we stumbled into Yuva after a busy day of scouting on the Upper East Side. With a calming white, modern interior (and a patchwork wall of comfortable looking cushions), plus soothing new age music playing on the speakers, popping into Yuva for lunch or dinner might just be what you need to recharge. And the food will play more than a small role in recharging some batteries as well. Among the standard Indian staples like Paneer Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, and Tandoori Shrimp are some absolute knock outs like the Shrimp Chili Lamb Shank, or the house specialty, Parda Biriyani- your choice of chicken, lamb, sea food, or goat (!?), spiced basmati rice baked in a casserole and covered with a dough lid that seals in moisture and flavor. Sit, eat, relax, stare at those pillows on the wall, and enjoy. Once you get the check you'll feel ready to tackle the jungle again. Menu Highlights: Saag Paneer, $14 Chicken Tikka Masala, $18 Shrimp Chili, Parda Biriyani, $16-$24 Hours: Mon - Sun, 11am-11:30pm
