Now in its 42nd season, ODC/Dance, San Francisco's acclaimed contemporary company, offers up an exciting Spring series of performances, featuring a pair of world-premiere pieces. ODC Artistic Directors Brenda Way and KT Nelson teamed with New York choreographer Kate Weare to create "Triangulating Euclid", which brings the mathematician's influential work to emotional and physical life on stage, as it examines the human implications of elegant geometry. The other debut, Brenda Way's "Lifesaving Maneuvers", is a full-company dance with an original score by Jay Cloidt that takes a dark and humorous look at how the human spirit manages to prevail. Also on the bill are several hit dances from last year's edition. The season is broken into two separate programs showcasing different performances, and each includes either a pre-performance balcony talk or a post-performance curtain talk.
