Prior to becoming the lead singer of the boy band Big Time Rush, Schmidt had a chance encounter with guitarist Dustin Belt at an industry event. It was soon obvious the two were both destined to collaborate: they were born in the same city, worked in the same industry and even lived on the same street ... Heffron Drive. Their initial collaboration was immediately successful: Thousands of fans began streaming their songs on the internet. Later, when Schmidt took a break to focus on BTR, Dustin joined the band as a touring guitarist. But now, finally, Heffron Drive is primed for its first-ever U.S. tour and is headed to Boston.
