Created in 2005 by two-time Olympian, Evan Dybvig, and Zero Gravity operators, Frank Sparrow and Dylan Goodspeed, Whaleback Mountain is a prime ski and snowboard destination for greater Boston area residents. Located about two hours from Boston proper, this powder-packed paradise boasts 700 vertical feet, 30 trails, two terrain parks, and endless amounts of classic New England winter wonderment. If you work up an appetite, consider stopping into the cafeteria or Whaleback Pub for some après-ski, slope-side grub and hot chocolate. Helpful tip: Be sure to check the snow report before heading to the mountain so you can make the most of your lift ticket—and your full day of full-fledged fun.
