Portable units enabled them to come down three flights of stairs to my hillside condo. Downside? 1. A couple of stains just would not lift (darned soda) and now the surrounding carpet is so clean that the stains look even worse. Some of the soda lifted, but now the carpet on the stained area is all stiff and the stains are quite prominent, whereas it wasn't prominent or stiff before the cleaning.
