Why You Should Go: Unlike events or birthdays, traditions can’t really be traced back to a specific point. What starts as an unlikely outing or endeavor slowly evolves over time, harnessing great experiences to create memories and keep participants coming back. When it comes to authentic Italian food and family in South Jersey, there is simply no tradition like Villari’s Bistro, Bar & Grill. What You Should Know: Since 1948, Villari’s (also know as the Milmarian) has been family-owned-and-operated, serving dishes from recipes brought to America from Sicily by Paul Villari Sr. Featured on the Food Network, Bistro, Bar & Grill, and Pizza menus provide diners with a little bit of everything to sink their teeth into. What You Should Try: To start, we love the Broccoli Rabe Sausage Bruschetta or Eggplant Rollatini. The Scallop and Shrimp Fra Diablo will please any pasta lover, as will the Risotto with Wild Mushroom. Carnivores won’t be able to get enough of the Chicken Parmigiana or Veal Saltimbocca. Of course the thin-crust pizza at Villari’s simply can’t be beat, so sink your teeth into the Red Hot Sausage or Old Fashioned Tomato Pie and start a tradition of your own.
