After winning NPR's Mountain Stage NewSong Competition this October, Lora-Faye is on the verge of releasing her self-produced album, Beards." The singer- songwriter and Brooklyn native performs with a rotating cast of Berklee-trained jazz musicians, untrained folkies, and everything in between. Mary Foster Conklin, award- winning jazz vocalist, in a new tribute show to composer Fran Landesman (“Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most”). Thursday, December 6 at 9PM Nat 'King' Cole: Unforgettable Smooth Grooves The internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist Cleve Douglass, just back from a tour of Russia, returns to Urban Stages for one night only with his hit tribute show to the legendary Nat 'King' Cole. Friday, December 7 at 7PM Winter Songs Multi-Award winning singer and recording artist Julie Reyburn brings her acclaimed show, Winter Songs to Urban Stages. Joining her will be Mark Janas as Musical Director with special guest, Joshua Dixon. Saturday, December 8 at 5pm Hopelessly in Love Fresh from its well-received run at The Metropolitan Room earlier this fall, this new revvue features the songs of celebrated lyricist Tom Toce with music by Tom and ten remarkably talented composers. Saturday, December 8 at 7pm Carole Demas Broadway & TV performer (Grease's original Sandy, “Magic Garden”) with special guest Paula Janis. Saturday, December 8 at 9pm Sean Hagerty Sean performs a solo set of songs and instrumentals, looping violin, banjo, and mandolin combined with live video projections and electronics.
