Finding the right summer camp at the right price is like finding yourself between a rock and a hard place. But rest assured, your child will get all the hard rock he or she can handle at this summer camp from Universal Rock School in Largo. Pay $160 and get one week (regularly $320); $320 for two weeks (regularly $640); pay $640 for four weeks (regularly $1,280), or $1,280 for a eight weeks (regularly $2,560) of summer music camp. Camp runs from 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Friday, where kids ages 8 to 14 and of any skill level are welcome to rock out this summer learning a new instrument, to read music, to play with a band, to create an album cover, and record a multiple-song album each two-week session. The four-week sessions feature a live performance or a recorded music video, under the guidance of skilled music teachers.
