Tim Horton’s Coupons 2014

Ontario-born Tim Hornton played professional hockey for the NHL for 22 years, including for the Toronto Maple Leafs for 17 years, starting in 1949. Hoping to find a business that would keep him comfortable well after his hockey career ended, he started a coffee and donuts business during the off-season in 1964. In 1967, he partnered with Ron Joyce, a retired police officer, and the company grew and expanded to become Canada’s prominent coffee chain.

Horton died in a car accident 1974, but his name lives on, both as a legendary hockey player, and with his coffee shops. Today there are 3,436 locations in Canada, and 804 in the United States.
