The Meatball Factory Coupons and Deals
Scout Notes: Every neighborhood needs two things: a corner bar and a good seafood restaurant. Now the East Village and Gramercy are getting a hybrid of both, and may just have to share their claim to Bait & Hook, a comfort food-style seafood joint on the corner of 14th & 2nd. With a penchant for fishing himself, owner Miha—a vet of the NYC bar and lounge seen—decided to open the place after noticing the need for good, moderately priced seafood. And the airy, nautically themed dining room does just that. The vibe is relaxed and friendly, the floor-to-ceiling windows give it an airy flow that'll be perfect for hot summer days, and the 16 craft beers on tap and full bar will be even better on hot summer days. And with a menu that boasts lobster mac 'n cheese, clam pizzas, chipotle fish tacos and spicy shrimp and grits, once you dine here you may never want to enter the real world again. Plus, there's a late-night menu in the works. Stay tuned. Menu Highlights: Lobster Mac 'n Cheese, $15 Baja Fish Tacos, $11 Lobster Roll, $18 White Clam Pizza, $12 Hours: Daily, noon to midnight
This isn’t one of those fancy-shmancy seafood restaurants—Bait & Hook is all about good food, good vibes, and a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy it in. Sit back with your group of friends and you can throw back a delicious draft or bottled beer while slurping down a few fresh, flavorful oysters. The ‘Oyster of the Day’ switches up regularly, with every featured half shell even better than the last. And the list of available brews is all over the map—Magic Hat from Vermont, Whale’s Tail from Massachusetts, and Sixpoint from Brooklyn are all popular choices. Can’t decide based on the menu alone? Ask for a sample and your server will happily oblige.
