The Fish Spot Coupons and Deals
Scout Notes: Things Atlanta has an overabundance of: Starbucks, Segways, unjust parking tickets. Things Atlanta lacks: decent public transit, jetpacks, or more than a handful of good places to indulge a seafood craving. Fish Spot might not be able to fix MARTA or rid us of the Segway plague, but they've got that whole seafood thing on lock. In an area not too populated with places to get your seafood fix, this tiny little restaurant is a beacon of fish, shrimp and a mean fish taco, using from-scratch recipes and strictly fresh ingredients that hit the spot. Owners Toby and Sharon, who have long dreamed of opening their own seafood restaurant, had a pretty simple goal: to offer folks in the area a place to get quality, consistent, and affordable food. Toby and his two talented chefs in the kitchen, who he says took his dream to the next level, have made freshness a priority, getting most of their seafood from the local farmers market. And if you've ever faced the dastardly abomination of not-so-fresh fish, you can understand the magnitude of that commitment. We're pretty excited that the Fish Spot is offering a respite from greasy, questionable fast food, as well as overpriced joints that cost an arm and a leg just to get your hands on a fresh filet. And their neighbors are, too — after just four weeks, folks have already made it a habit to swing by the Fish Spot for a po'boy (a.k.a. the Spotwich) or those fish tacos. As it turns out, it's pretty handy to have a place where you can get your hands on some good, fresh fish... because, really, no one should have to resort to a $2 Filet O' Mystery Meat. Menu Highlights: Fish Dinner, $5 (small) — $10 (large) Shrimp Dinner, $5(small) - $10(large) 3 Tacos, Grilled or Fried, $5 The Spotwich with Fries, $6 (+ $1 with fries) Hours: Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Thursday - Saturday, 11:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Closed Sunday - Tuesday
