The Capri Restaurant has been a landmark family restaurant in Eagle Rock since 1963, founded by Helen and Joe Sams. Their commitment to the community and to their diners, was to provide good food in a friendly atmosphere, at reasonable prices. For over thirty years, the Sams served the best pizzas and pastas in Eagle Rock. In 1997 Joe and Helen retired and sold the restaurant to the Thiel family, Caroline, Dick, Jim and Jeff. Maintaining the traditions and the recipes, including homemade sausage, sauces, wonderful garlic bread and soups of the Capri, the Thiels have continued to serve Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Occidental College and families from all over the LA area. They welcome the opportunity to serve you. In 2005, Dick and Caroline retired and Jim and Jeff have taken over The Carpri to carry on the family tradition of serving good food to good friends. Magia!
