Welcome to Sweet Mango Cafe, serving the greater Washington Metropolitan region with authentic Caribbean cuisine since 1989. Located at the corner Georgia and New Hampshire Ave NW, Sweet Mango Cafe has three levels to accommodate customers dining preferences. The main or entry level is called "Cool Runnings." Though there are a few tables to sit, as dining in is encouraged for its social and community spirit, which has become synonymous with Sweet Mango Cafe, this level is more of a carry-out or quick serve. The basement, known as the "Lion's Den," and is primarily used for private parties or more intimate gatherings. With a full service bar, televisions, and even a DJ booth, the "Lion's Den" has more of a lounge-like appeal, and must be reserved in advance; so, be sure to call ahead. However, during the winter, the "Lion's Den" is open for overflow, as well as private events. Then there is the "Sky Room." Located on the third level, it also has a full service bar and televisions, but it also has a roof deck that provides outdoor dining as well. The "Sky Room" is closed the later part of fall through winter, but re-opens for spring and summer. Our dishes are made to order, with only the freshest ingredients, choice cuts meats and poultry, and of course flavors that will make you feel like you're in the islands. We also provide a wide assortment of cakes, and other specialty desserts.
