Description
Steppenwolf's season debut marks the company's first collaboration with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire. Nominated for Best Play at the 2011 Tony Awards, "Good People" centers around Margie, a single mother in Boston's Southie neighborhood who is fired from her cashier position at a local dollar store. Realizing that she and her daughter are facing an impending monetary crisis, Margie turns to help from her ex-boyfriend, Mike, a doctor who lives in a very different social and economic strata. "Good People" is the newest drama by the playwright, who won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for his work "Rabbit Hole". Ensemble member K. Todd Freeman directs.
