Help your kids get their sea legs by sending them to one of many different themed camps from Steel City Rowing Club: • $125 ($250 value) for one week of full-day camp • $40 ($80 value) for a two-hour after-school program • $75 ($150 value) for the Lazy River Adventure or Lore & Legends of the River • $125 ($250 value) for a Lazy River Adventure and Paddle Afternoon, or Lore & Legends of the River and Paddle Afternoon Full-day camps are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Choose between Learn to Row for ages 12 to 18, running July 15 to 19; and Lets Go Fishin' for ages 12 to 14, running June 17 to 21. Learn to Row participants learn basic rowing and boat-handling technique; while others fish, canoe, kayak, and swim in Lets Go Fishin' camp. After-school programs are Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. Choose the Learn to Row for ages 12 to 14 running April 9 to 25 or running May 7 to 23. A Lazy River Adventure and Lore & Legends of the River are for ages 8 to 11, and each run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. June 24 to 28. Learn about Native American folk tales, local legends, and the geological record in Lore & Legends of the River, or just explore the sights and sounds of the river while honing kayaking and canoeing skills on A Lazy River Adventure.
