Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, finding the elusive New York bagel in Atlanta can be a quest of El Dorado proportions. No one knows that better than the two Jersey natives who packed up their bags and their bagel recipes over a decade ago and flew south to Georgia, where they set up shop slingin' their delicious New Yorker-approved rings of doughy deliciousness at Soho Bagels. A far cry from the bagels of supermarkets and bakery chains (in short, plain old rolls with a hole in the middle), Soho's bagels have that perfect crust outside and dense, chewy inside that make a New Yorker's heart sing with joy. Those savory little halos aren't the only thing Soho Bagels is known for, either—just refer to the Manhattan (hot ham and cheese), the Hell's Kitchen (a melty reuben) or just about any of the other hearty signature sandwiches named after 'hoods in the Big Apple. Especially the ones served on one of Soho's mega croissants. So, New York, we happen to think we've got a bagel shop that's up to snuff. Now we just have to work on that whole public transportation thing.
