Welcome to Soft Tail Spirits, makers of small batch, handcrafted Washington vodka and grappa since 2008. One of the first distilleries in western Washington since prohibition, we embrace the craft distilling culture that is burgeoning here in Pacific NW. Enjoy all of our products including our award winning Grappa, an Italian style Brandy made in partnership with Washington's finest wineries, and of course our award winning Vodka, distilled from WA State apples. To conclude, you receive two long stemmed grappa glasses along with a private barrel tasting, an experience you and your guest won't soon forget. Our vodka, made from Washington State apples, takes advantage of their high quality fruit sugars to create a distinctive character that's unique in the world of vodkas. Our grappas — made from the leftover grape skins of local wineries — are the first of their kind in Washington state. Traditionally an Italian spirit, grappa combines the unique characters of grape varietals with the art of distilling. Taking grapes from some of the finest wineries in Washington allows us to create flavors that are not only fantastic, but completely unique. Made in the traditional style, using a copper alembic pot still (and a lot of shoveling!), we enjoy introducing people to one of our favorite drinks. Different grapes produce extremely different grappas, so every year brings new products.
