Way down in Mexico, one band has been busy fusing klezmer melodies and rhythms with gypsy, Middle Eastern and Latin American influences. That would be Klezmerson, a Mexico City-based septet, and the results of their experimentation play out in acclaimed recordings like "Siete" and "Klezmerol 100mg". Now, after building audiences across the Americas, Klezmerson comes to the Skirball Cultural Center for their U.S. debut. Be among the first Americans to hear live what John Zorn (the avant-garde composer, MacArthur "Genius" Grantee and klezmer musician) has called "one of the most creative and unique bands in Jewish music today."
