Been meaning to get out and race, but hadn't found the right event? Here's the perfect opportunity - the See Jane Run's Seattle 5K and half marathon, a fun, festive and supportive event. Choose the distance, then head over to Gas Works park on Saturday, July 14, 2013. You'll run in a friendly atmosphere - it's a like slumber party without the drama, and with a little more movement - and finishers will earn access to bubbly and sweets. Pick up a $25 gift certificate along with your race entry and you can rock an inspirational tee while warming up. Sound too good to be true? It gets even better. All participants get a goody bag, a technical T-shirt to prove you were there, and entrance to the post-race expo full of samples and information sure to be a runner's delight. Men can participate, but this is definitely an estrogen-focused event (besides, someone has to drive you home after you get a little fizzy). Oh, and if you just happen to be a rockstar runner, prizes are awarded for top finishers in eleven separate age categories. There's still plenty of time to train for this lovely lady-filled event, so get out of that binder and get running.
