Satay Thai Bistro & Bar Coupons and Deals
Scout Notes: Sure. We’d love to skip across the globe to sample the skewered and grilled goodness that is legit satay, but since that’s not exactly convenient, we’re glad to report we’ve found a suitable satay destination right here in Nashville. Tucked away in a strip mall off Franklin Road, a trip to Satay Thai Grill and BBQ is almost as good as going to Southeast Asia. Well, at least when it comes to the food. Offering an eclectic mix of Asian cuisine with Malaysian, Thai and Lao influences, Satay’s menu includes popular favorites like beef satay, panang curry and pad thai, as well as soups, salads and appetizers. While the menu, which is categorized by dish type (curry bowls, noodle dishes, satay, etc.), may appear to be limited, the dining options are actually endless as you have the freedom to choose your meat, preferred method of cooking, sauce and side dishes. So what are our recommendations? Anything with Satay’s basil sauce. Made with Thai and mint basil, the stuff is seriously delicious. So delicious, in fact, that we imagine it’d even make cardboard taste amazing. If you’re looking for a good vegetarian option, we love the Spicy Eggplant and Curry Fried Rice. And then there are the refreshing, homemade ice creams. We suggest ordering a scoop of mango and a scoop of coconut to enjoy together. Menu Highlights: Chicken Satay, $7.95 Pork Satay, $7.95 Basil Fried Rice w/Shrimp, $9.95 Mango Ice Cream, $3 Hours: Mon. - Fri., 11a.m. to 8 p.m. Sat., 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Closed Sunday
"Ok, all you lovers of Thai food, do I have a restaurant for you! This small family owned and operated restaurant has been serving delicious Thai dishes for 15 years, and judging from what I sampled and the horde of loyal fans who came in during my two trips here, the restaurant should be around for a long, long, time." "And for good reason. The food is fresh and delicious, the portions are on the large side, the prices are incredibly low and the amount of love and passion that goes into each dish is very apparent."Reference: Borgan, Allen.
