Description
The San Francisco Ballet's widely-acclaimed 2012 production of choreographer John Cranko's "Onegin" returns, with its sensational dancing and striking scenecraft on full display. Based on Pushkin's epic novel in verse, the tragic "Onegin" tells the story of a cynical Russian dandy who cruelly rejects a young woman's advances, only to fall in love with her years later, when she's unable to return his affections. The award-winning Santo Loquasto designed the sumptuous scenery and costumes for this full-length work, set to a dramatic score by Tchaikovsky.
