Award-winning chef Roy Yamaguchi opened the first Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine Restaurant in Honolulu Hawaii in 1988. The concept was to blend European techniques and Asian cuisine with Hawaiian hospitality, with food prepared in an exhibition kitchen.

There are 22 Roy’s locations in the U.S., Guam, and Japan, with 6 locations in Hawaii. Yamaguchi is still involved with the locations in Hawaii and Pebble Beach, California, while the rest are owned and operated by Bloomin’ Brands.

Roy’s Menu Items

Roy’s offers an upscale menu with a focus on seafood. A seasonal Prix Fixe menu includes a choice of appetizer, an entree such as Grilled Petite Filet Mignon or Seared Jade Pesto Mahi Mahi, and a dessert. Local menus vary, and may feature sushi and sashimi, salads, and fish specialties. Beer, wine and cocktails are available. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available.
