Scout Notes: When we were growing up, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory was one of the most exciting movies to hit our little eyes. The whole time we watched we thought Is this real? Does this really exist? While you won’t find a chocolate river flowing through the middle, Rockit Swirl is like the Chocolate Factory for frozen dessert specialties. The whole right side of the shop is devoted to self serve frozen yogurt. Ever had Red Velvet Cake low fat yogurt? Didn’t think so. Add more dessert to your dessert by topping it with cheesecake and brownie bites, or any one (or ten) of the dozens of other topping choices. Some of us prefer to sip our treats, and Rockit Swirl offers a whole range of choices in that department. There’s 13 flavors of milk and jasmine teas with seven options, including tapioca, to mix ‘em up a bit. Then tere’s blended shakes like the popular Mango Cherry Blitz, the classic Honeydew and Taro, and the surprisingly delicious Avocado Shake. Everything here is all natural; no corn syrup or additives behind this counter. And don't get us started on the design-your-own gelato cookie sandwich, where you choose your cookie flavor and cold creamy filling yourself (it tastes that much better when you had to work for it a little). And when you go to Rockit Swirl, be sure to check out the rows of Japanese toy machines in the corner. The food here is prize enough, but a little trinket to remember your visit by wouldn’t hurt.
