Chef Rick Moonen is a celebrated American chef who has become one of the leading spokespersons for the sustainable seafood movement worldwide. He has earned critical acclaim and three stars from the New York Times and four stars from the 2005 Mobil Travel Guide.The RM Seafood concept originated in New York and the beautiful structure is designed by San Francisco architect Cass Calder Smith of CCS-Architecture. Downstairs features an outdoor dining area, a bar&lounge area, Sushi Bar, Raw Bar, and dining room with mahogany wood tables. There's also a separate private dining area blocked off from the rest of the cafe by large curtains. The upstairs fine dining restaurant, seats 85 and contains a lounge and two private dining rooms. "The downstairs menu is classic American comfort food with an emphasis on seafood," says Moonen, who has a hand in all aspects of the dining experience and personally selected the beers to pair with the seafood dishes.
