RAS Restaurant & Lounge Coupons and Deals
Scout Notes: Maybe it's because RAS is short for Rasta, but this restaurant and lounge has the power to take you to a higher level. Firstly, there's the newly expanded Ethiopian and Caribbean menus. Where else can you go to get an order of Jerk Tilapia with a side of Injera, that spongey, delicious Ethiopian bread? Or maybe you're just looking for awesome bar snacks while you put a few back (the full bar is pretty awesome here). In that case, I highly recommend the wings here, which come in three different flavors—BBQ, jerk and Buffalo. Speaking of multiples, this place offers a few different vibes, depending on when you come. There are live DJs every Monday night; Tuesdays are for open mic, Wednesday is poetry night; Thursdays feature reggae; Fridays are for dance parties with live bands; and Saturdays are for all-of-the-above. "Saturdays are different every week," said Elias, the owner of this laid-back Petworth restaurant and lounge. "We really like what we do here," he continued. "We care a lot about our patrons' experiences so we make sure everyone has a good time." Menu Highlights: Jerk Tilapia, $11 Beef Tips, $11 Vegetarian Injera, $12 Shrimp Curry, $11 Jerk Wings, $5 Hours: Monday - Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday - Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Closed Sundays
