Pasta da Pulcinella Coupons and Deals
We've tired of those stuffy pasta joints. You know the type—dress codes and authentic music. Forget the music; we'd prefer to have our pasta authentic, thankyouverymuch. Luckily, Midtown's Pasta da Pulcinella strikes a balance between the two. It's an upscale, yet homey atmosphere (it is located in a restored bungalow, after all), with fresh pasta that left our mouths watering for days after we'd cleaned the plates. Not to worry, though, there's a cure: more pasta. Works for us. Though the place has been around since the early '90s, it wasn't until recently that it moved into a restored (and recently renovated) 1930's bungalow with the works: hardwood floors, natural light streaming in the windows and a fireplace. It has all the charm and airy openness of a family home, with made-to-order dishes that we wish we could've grown up eating. Chef Bibbiano slings Italian-inspired goods out of the kitchen for intimate business lunches, romantic dinners and everything in between. We're probably too fond of the crowd favorite, the Tortelli di Mele. Those fresh ravioli, stuffed with browned Granny Smith apples, sausage and parmigiano, all topped off with browned buter, sage and a delicate apple cider reduction are dream-worthy. Not to be outdone are the beverages, including a full-bar menu and a respectable wine list, organized by grape type and designed to pair well with the dishes. Which reminds us... more pasta, please! Menu Highlights: Tortelli di Mele, $15 Ravioli di Funghi, $15 Tagliatelle Verdi alla Bolognese, $15 Caprese Invernale, $8 Grilled Atlantic Salmon, $18 Hours: LUNCH: Tuesday – Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. DINNER: Monday – Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday & Saturday, 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday, 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
