Paramount Coffee Shop & Books Coupons and Deals
Scout Notes: For some people, a coffee shop has one very specific purpose: a place in which one can purchase the big, hot cup of caffeine one needs in order to function as a normal human being. For me, and many others? It's all about the experience. (Well, okay, and the caffeine.) With a book case of reading material and couches and chairs so comfy you might need a spatula to pry yourself out of them, the experience at Paramount is just as cozy and comforting as that foamy cappuccino you're cradling. The ten-year-old Tucker coffee shop isn't your typical busy, loud hub besieged by over-caffeinated people. In fact, it's pretty much the exact opposite: comfortable, quiet, almost like your own personal library (it's all those fine leatherbound books). Paramount takes their coffee very seriously, using Italy's own Lavazza beans (you know it's good if they've been around for over a century). And the snacks certainly aren't your typical stale, plastic-wrapped you'll find under the counter at stale, plastic-wrapped mega-chains—the cold sandwiches and the yogurt parfaits are the perfect bites to nibble on while you're curled up in that big, comfy leather couch. So, if you're simply looking for a place to grab that cappuccino you can't face the world without, well... they whip up some great espresso drinks here. But if you're also looking for an atmosphere that goes beyond uncomfortable chairs and elitist baristas, one in which you'd actually want to linger, all the while sipping a damn fine cup of coffee, Paramount's your new place to kick back... almost like a (caffeinated) second living room.
