Ozu Japanese Cuisine & Lounge Coupons and Deals
Description
In business (and in life, we suppose) it helps to really know your audience. Selling ice to Eskimos, while a good parable, is not necessarily a solid business plan. Opening up your own traditional Japanese restaurant after spending years working at a neighborhood staple around the corner seems like a smarter move. Thus, Ozu Japanese Cuisine & Lounge was born. The owner has worked in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood for years, and also owns two other Japanese restaurants out on Long Island, so it's safe to say he knows a thing or two about raw fish. Speaking of, the sushi is on par with anything we've had over on the island (of Manhattan that is). We especially enjoyed the specialty rolls, like the Mango Hawaii or Crispy Duck. We also grew fond of the Ozu Pizza, with salmon, tuna, spicy kani, cucumber and seaweed salad served over a think pancake. For something a little more cooked, there are teriyaki options like shrimp, crispy duck or spicy garlic Chilean seabass. And tempura? You can batter dip just about everything. The dining room itself is all cool blue tile, low intimate lighting and plush booths for lounging about. Because you should definitely be able to lounge at a good neighborhood joint.
