Nino's 46 Coupons and Deals
A sit-down meal is always great, but offer us a chance to belly up to a bar for a couple of drinks and a delicious square meal and we're extra psyched. And while Midtown isn't our usual stomping grounds (lots of business people doing businessy things), Nino's 46 must have seen us coming. Recently revamped after a fire took the place offline for a bit, Nino's has a sleek new look and fresh new attitude toward its menu, and a bar that's near-perfect for an after-work drink and nosh. The new menu focuses on quality ingredients, many sourced straight from Italy, which makes these dishes experiences in and of themselves, rather than the standard scoop-and-serve Italian common to the area. Appetizers like fresh burrata served with brown buttered dates or charred octopus with green mango slaw made us believers. The homemade pastas include a gnudi with wild mushrooms and ricotta, as well as a fettuccine with prawns that'll make you want to hug the first little Italian grandmother you come across. Now, about those cocktails: the sweeter "Aperitivo" section include winners like the Rossini (Prosecco and handmade strawberry puree) and the Carrie Nation Sour (Ruby Port Wine, Italian sweet Vermouth, saffron syrup and fresh-squeezed lime juice). The "Fancy Drinks" side offers the Gold Finger (Chivas 12-years old, Cointreau, lavender infused Dry Vermouth and a few dashes of Orange Bitters) and the Moretta (Fords Gin, St . Germain, blackberries, mint and lime juice, topped with ginger beer). Who knows, maybe we'll get ourselves into business just to bring ourselves back on the regular. Menu Highlights: Burrata, $13 Charred Octopus, $15 Wood Roasted Branzino, $26 Gold Finger Cocktail, $12 Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
