But for us, it always seems a little… inauthentic when you sidle up to the bar and your bartender sounds like they're from Queens. Luckily Nelly Spillane's in Midtown is about as close to the real deal as you can get. The sister pub to a family of Irish pubs up in Westchester, Nelly's has a friendly staff of Irish ex-pats all happy to expertly pour you your next Guinness. Conveniently located on 33rd St, it's the perfect spot for a quick after-work brew, a great place to watch a game, and with a full kitchen serving up elevated pub fare, an excellent spot for a hearty meal. Their burgers and double-dipped wings are among the best in town, and you won't be disappointed if you branch out and go for their Fiesta Sandwich.
