Meehan's Public House Coupons and Deals
Description
Scout Notes: For a decade, Meehan's has been proving that a casual Irish pub needn't be synonymous with greasy chips and an ashtray-scented environment. Yes, sadly, many an "Irish pub" could just as easily be called "smoky dive bar with a shamrock motif," but the 101 Concepts pub has been bucking this reputation with a family-friendly atmosphere, a handsome (nonsmoking!) interior, a roster of craft beer mixed in with Irish standards, and a kitchen staff with some serious chops. And nary a cheesy leprechaun figurine — or an ashtray — in sight. If typical, greasy pub grub is what you seek, look anywhere else in Sandy Springs. Those chefs we mentioned? They've got some hardcore fine dining experience, and they put that know-how to good use in the kitchen, creating Irish favorites with innovative twists. Using a winning combination of creativity, talent, and a few local ingredients, the kitchen churns out hearty, comforting crowd favorites, like a bison, beef, and sausage meatloaf, traditional bangers and mash, shepherd's pie, and a damn respectable burger. Pair that with a nice, tall stout, and you've got yourself a taste of true pub culture. Mmm... tastes like corned beef. Menu Highlights: Meehan's Sampler Platter, $12 Scotch Egg, $7 Meehan's Burger, $12 101 Meatloaf, $16 Fish & Chips, $10-$15 Hours: Monday - Saturday, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 a.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. - 12 a.m.

I've only ever been here with groups from work, but each time the service was on point and the finger foods where very tasty. Typical bar food/atmosphere with an Irish-y flare.Try the pretzel, french fries, and fried pickles. They have decent wings as well.Megan K. on Yelp:I came here and sat on the upstairs patio. It was BEAUTIFUL outside, I'd much recommend the patio if the weather's nice. There were a few guys playing acousitc guitar music which was nice background to sit and chat over dinner. I ordered the Shephard's Pie, which was delicious. Loved the mashed potatoes on top, they were a little golden crispy but delicious mashed potatoes on the inside. The service was good enough. My dinner date had fish and chips and finished their plate up, so I assume that was satisfying as well. I'd come here again. it was pretty happening for a friday night at 930. I'm eager to try some more of their pub fare.
