Mediterranean Bakery & Sandwich Coupons and Deals
After spending years in the restaurant business, Bassam (who originally hails from Lebanon) decided that the Atlanta area could use a healthy dose of authentic Lebanese cuisine. And so, a decade or so ago, he started Mediterranean Bakery & Sandwich. Originally, Bassam started with a small, but thorough menu, with freshly-prepared, from-scratch items. This mission rapidly gained a devoted following, so four years ago, Bassam expanded the space to include a smattering of imported groceries and a comfortably sized eating area. But if all of this wasn't a sufficient argument for its authenticity, Mediterranean Bakery & Sandwich has a sister restaurant… in Lebanon. But back to ATL. This eatery/shop boasts its own bakery, too — Cedar Wood — which supplies fresh pita bread across the Southeast. In fact, chances are that if you've had a pita you thoroughly enjoyed, it originated from this restaurant. Of course, we're pretty big fans of the kabobs, too. And the Tabouli Salad. And the Hummus. It's all good, really. And good for you, too — Mediterranean Bakery & Sandwich only uses the leanest of meats, and plenty of vegetables. The Filet Mignon Kabob, for example, features never-frozen meat that was marinated the day before being skewered and grilled to perfection. Bassam couldn't have been more right — this is the kind of food Atlanta needs. Menu Highlights: Hookah, $10 Kabobs, $7.49 to $9.99 Falafel Plate + 2 sides, $6.99 Shawarma, $7.79 Baklava, $1.50 Hours: Monday - Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
