Maplewood Coffee & Tea Coupons and Deals
Description
Scout Notes: It's a Coffeemergency! You're lost in the hills of SW with only houses and elementary schools for miles and wait—what's that over there? It isn't a house, Scouts, it's Maplewood Coffee & Tea! PULL OVER. Get out of your car. Walk slowly with your coffee mugs raised in the air. Then enjoy that fabulous double latte poured by Lightning Bolt Zech as you nestle into your home-away-from-home, get that henna tattoo you've been hankering for, and enjoy yet another fabulous day. Built in 1911, Maplewood Coffee & Tea was first a railroad station, then a post office, at times a sweet and cozy SW home and, finally, its doors opened to the rest of us with local coffees, Bakeshop's (heavenly) baked goods, and that neighborhood feeling where everybody knows your (dog's) name (pssst—the free milkbones are by the lids). Owner Jo Whitsell created the shop on one side and installed Maplewood Studio, a healing yoga and acupuncture space, on the other. The whole atmosphere is one of relaxation with large windows, plenty of natural light, antique prints from China, and a community of friends, neighbors, and coffee lovers. Oh yeah, and Henna tattoos on Saturdays ($3 apiece!). Menu Highlights: Latte: 12 oz, $3.25; 16 oz, $3.75 Coffee: 12 oz, $2; 16 oz, $2.50 All Bakeshop Pastries, $3 Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3 pm Saturday - Sunday, 8 am - 3 pm
