We've got the perfect antidote to get your child's acting career moving: a residency at Malisa Theatre Academy (fittingly located just off Broadway in Midtown). Pay $149 (regularly $299) for a four-week intensive acting course that starts at the beginning of each month. Passionate instructor Davina Dummer will mold your 8- to 12-year-old into a versatile performer in the young actors program, while Bill Toscano teaches 13- to 17-year-olds in the acting class for teen actors. In these intimate, three-hour weekly classes -- which are limited to 20 people -- your budding actor will work on monologues, improvisation, cold readings, prepared sides, scene study, and audition techniques.
