Fair warning: these handcrafted Swiss-style delicacies -- truffles, caramels, bars and all -- can bring out the chocoholism in just about anyone. But thanks to the four generations spent by LW perfecting the art, the confections on display at this Buckhead chocolate shop are so rich, flavorful, and delicious that tasting just one dulce de leche will be enough of a dessert all on its own. Well, until you start eyeing the champagne truffles. And the candied, chocolate-covered orange peel. And then the elderberry-filled dark chocolate. Oh, just go ahead. How often do your tastebuds get the opportunity to party this hard, anyway? Chocolate may seem like a guilty pleasure, but after talking with Leandro and doing a little Googling, we're considering stocking up on LW's wares to, you know, stay healthy. After all, it's rich in antioxidants, might lower your blood pressure, is more fun than making out, and has been proven to prevent late-afternoon conference call-induced narcolepsy. Leandro only had to point me to the organic fruit-filled delicacies, starring tart raspberries, blueberries, rosehips, and more, for me to fully jump aboard the Chocolate Diet train. I tried the raspberry dark chocolate, an all-time favorite of Leandro's, and... let's just say that this is miles away from those mysterious pink-filled chocolates you've had in cardboard sampler boxes.
