Nestled between a shoeshine parlor and a discount suit shop in downtown LA's garment district, the self-touted "World's Smallest Quick Service Restaurant" is easy to miss&#151one of the reasons why it's such a treasure. "We wanted to do a hole in the wall place and see how much we could pack in," says owner Melissa Rosen. And pack it in they do&#151from fun fast food-esque breakfast sandwiches to probiotic smoothies and organic fair trade coffees and teas, Localita has something for everyone on the dietary spectrum. Owner Rosen hopes the fledgling eatery serves as a bridge to open people up to more health conscious eating&#151similarly to Localita's sister store 'Locali' in Franklin Village. But healthy doesn't have to be bland. The sandwiches are packed with flavor and the taste of the Green Machine Smoothie with kale and coconut kefir is still being savored in this scout's memories. But watch out&#151sadly, the leftovers of the reuben this scout brought home for her vegetarian boyfriend were accidentally thrown away under the assumption it was beef. It's that good.
