Spend the week at Lincoln Park Zoo for Spring Break with the animals! The Lincoln Park Zoo's educators will lead 3rd and 4th graders on a spring break trip across the Americas! Campers will explore the ins and outs of habitats from North to South America and get to know more about the animals that call these places home. Your 3rd and 4th grader will spend 1 week (Either March 25-29 or April 1-5) exploring the theme of Scientists in the Field. Have your 3rd or 4th grader step into the shoes of a field researcher by tracking and analyzing the signs animals leave behind. Investigate the behavior of black bears that roam Yosemite National Park and tamarins moving through the Amazon rainforest treetops. Each camp group is lead by a camp instructor. These professionals have extensive experience working with children and a demonstrated commitment to connecting children to the natural world. Camp instructors facilitate all educational components of the camp day, but groups also have the chance to meet zoo staff throughout the week, from veterinarians to zookeepers to scientists. Zoo volunteers will also support each camp group as they travel around the zoo and participate in activities.
