SCOUT NOTES: As a reformed shopaholic, walking into Lavender was like someone waving a no-limit black Amex in front of my face. The self-proclaimed “insanely chic boutique” was surely living up to this declaration, bombarding my senses with adorable knits, designer jeans and amazeballs accessories—all of my favorite things jam-packed into one little store. And did I mention the prices? With everything from reasonably priced tops and accessories (in the mere $20 range) to premium denim topping out at $140, the boutique has something for everyone. And not only are the clothes worth drooling over, but so are the adorable ladies behind the counter (I mean that in the least creepy way possible). Owner Peony and her cute-as-a-button staff are doling out killer style advice to accompany their darling duds. With customer service ranking as a high priority, it’s no wonder that mothers and daughters alike are flocking to the shop for their fashion fix. And Lavender is carefully curating merchandise to cater to their style-loving clients— everything from artisan candles and handmade jewelry (by local designers!), to Big Star Denim and Not Your Daughter’s Jeans premium denim lines. They’re up on all the trends too: colored denim and chunky knits are sure to stay on the fashion world’s radar for fall and winter, and Lavender is stocking them all.
