Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee House (Roswell) Coupons and Deals
Description
Scout Notes:When it comes to excellent purveyors of fair trade brewed goods, our local coffee shops do a stand-up job. But Land of a Thousand Hills in Roswell wanted more. In addition ensuring that the coffee growers are fairly compensated, they employ people on the ground in Rwanda, Haiti and Thailand. When the farmers there use the community coffee bean washing station, they're paid directly. The Land of a Thousand Hills gets to know the individual farmers, and pays attention to what needs they have, as well as working toward matching them. (In the past they've built schools and provided coffee bikes.) Here, it's easy to live up to their motto: Drink Coffee. Do Good. This Roswell shop is located inside a cozy old house, with abundant (and comfortable) seating in every nook and corner. And they're truly focused on building community both here, and overseas. The regulars will tell you that it's a great little place to catch up on work, or, with your best friend – most of the orders at Land of a Thousand Hills are 'for here'. This, of course, includes the ever-popular Caramanilla – that would be a caramel and vanilla latte. (Yes, it's as decadent as it sounds.) If you're looking for a chilly treat, we'd recommend the Samoan Chill, manager Jono described it as a frozen, blended cookie. Just add it to this little coffee house's list of do-goodery we can get behind.
