Kobe Steaks Japanese Restaurant Coupons and Deals
Sometimes we wish dinner felt like more of an event, and less of something to do whilst huddling around Netflix marathons (guilty). But at Kobe Steaks Japanese Restaurant, there's no need for television—its experienced hibachi chefs are entertainment enough. These chefs have been keeping diners entertained for nearly 40 years with their knife-wielding, egg-frying antics. Oh, and the magnificent American-raised Kobe steaks certainly don't hurt either. As soon as we stepped inside Kobe Steaks Japanese Restaurant, we noticed something was different. It felt absolutely nothing like those hibachi joints that are focused primarily on customer turnaround. Coming here to eat is an event all its own, and guests are made comfortable. Start off in the lounging area and bar, where there are plentiful couches and cushy chairs to recline upon while sipping Japanese beer, hot or cold sake and Japanese vodka. We're partial to the inventive cocktails though, especially the Lychee Martini, with vodka, lychee liqueur and sweet and sour mix. The next stop is dinner. The hibachi-style personal chef cooks everything tableside, in a private room if your group requests it. (There's even one such room with traditional floor seating.) All in all, during our visit we found that Kobe Steaks Japanese Restaurant had what so many other similar places have lacked: authenticity. And some mighty delicious filet mignon. Pro-tip: Kobe's location, in the Prado Shopping Center, can be a bit tricky to find. But it's on the main floor. If you're going through the parking garage, it's level P2. And it's well worth the extra navigation, we promise. Menu Highlights: Filet Mignon & Shrimp, $29 "Masami" Kobe Beef Sirloin 4oz & Jumbo Shrimp, $37 Crab Claws, Shrimp and Scallops in Garlic Butter, $33.50 Japanese Girl Cocktail, $9 Lychee Martini, $9 Hours: Monday – Thursday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday & Saturday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday, 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
