Scout Notes: We'll admit it: the eateries of Atlanta do some mighty fine things for our diversified taste buds. And thankfully, our northern neighbors are no exception. Take Kiosco, por ejemplo. The laid-back Marietta staple serves up traditional Colombian favorites&#151and staff has just as much enthusiasm for the food as the customers. This makes sense since it's some of the best you'll find this side of the hemisphere&#151a likely explanation for why this snug little joint is nearly always hoppin'. (If you want in on a weekend, you better have a reservation.) But Kiosco isn't about the weekend-exclusivity. In between jokes and guffaws with co-owner Eddie and manager Dave, it was easy to see that they're in the biz because they love it. (It's not unusual for regulars to receive hugs.) Walk in the door and you'll be greeted like you're making the first trip home in years. And, never fear, they know what they're doing&#151you can expect these fellas to bring experience to your table along with those fresh, steaming entrees. (Eddie's grandma ran a restaurant in Colombia for 25 years, and it's safe to say he inherited some of those culinary chops.) The atmosphere is fun, lively and cheerfully buzzing with energy. And the food? Off the charts&#151full of flavorful herbs and spices, without too much heat. A sure-fire winner is the Media Pollo al Horno - half of a chicken, roasted, and con raspberry sauce. Oh, and speaking of, they make all their sauces (and sausages) in-house. As well as their sangria, which, Dave assured me, "is an excellent source of Vitamin C." Say no more.
