The friendly folks at Kilwins Atlantic Station are in the business of turning frowns upside down with delicious, homemade goodies and service almost as Sweet as their fudge! Their confectionary delights are created using techniques and recipes perfected by Don and Katy Kilwin, which have been put to the test since the opening of the very first Kilwins in 1947. Since then, a many more sugary (and sugar free) offerings have been created to satisfy any Sweet-tooth--from the classic chocolate, caramel and mackinac island fudge-lovers to the saltwater taffy-chompers and ice cream-lickers. At least one, maybe two...okay, let's be honest, at least 10...are bound to strike your fancy! Everyday's a Kilwins kind of day. MUST TRYS Caramel Apple It all starts with a crisp, hand-selected, perfectly sweet/tart/tangy apple. "The chosen one" is then generously covered with homemade copper-pot caramel, (whose recipe dates back to the beginning of Kilwins). Top with your choice of nuts, sprinkles and chocolate! Tuttles Your choice of either pecans or cashews combined with Kilwins' famous handmade, hand-dropped caramel inside a shell of creamy, irresistible milk or dark chocolate. This classic treat is often touted as the "tastiest tuttle in town!"

"From 1947 to the present, Kilwins has ice cream figured out," says Gayot, which named the sweet-centric spot one of its 2012 Top 10 Atlanta Ice Cream Restaurants. Peruse the menu filled with ice cream, chocolates, fudge, toffee and more and take home $30 worth of goodies for $15. Visitors can also request and reserve a complimentary kitchen tour to check out the behind-the-scenes action. Deemed "the place to go for a treat" by Metromix, Kilwins Atlantic Station features more than 75 varieties of homemade sweets. Gayot recommends the chocolate peanut butter fudge, milk cashew tuttles and Irish cream truffles. Catch views of how these delights are made on a complimentary kitchen tour (reservations required). Guests will watch the chefs at work and receive complimentary samples at the end of the half-hour session.
