But our friends at Joe Natural’s, a farm store and cafe located in Leiper’s Fork, have taken the local and organic thing to whole new level. Basically, if it’s not grown on the Joe Natural’s farm or purchased from another local, organic farm, it doesn’t go on your plate. Yup. That’s about as fresh as it gets, folks! With menu items like grass-fed burgers, salads, grilled sandwiches (we’re big fans of the Newman—all natural turkey, homemade apple butter and cheddar), Joe Natural’s has redefined comfort food by proving that natural, sustainable ingredients can be just as fulfilling as grandma’s not-always-so-healthy Southern cookin’. Vegetarians and meat lovers alike will love the quinoa bowls, which are also a great choice for anyone on a gluten-free diet (you can add chicken, roast beef, ham, or turkey to ‘em if you want). For those with a sweet tooth, the strawberry cake, in all its frosted glory, is a must try, as is the pumpkin bread. Now, go support your local farmer!
