Black took over the space left behind by the legendary Primavera Ristorante. Starting with the decor, he sought to restore the space’s original look and feel. Black then carved (and seasoned) his way into New York’s vibrant restaurant scene with skills garnered from the Italian Culinary Institute and the renowned Le Cordon Bleu. Today, Il Tesoro mixes old-world charm with Black’s modern take on Italian classics. His menus are fresh and seasonal, and the dishes are nothing short of inspired.
